GlobalEnglish Launches Turkish Language Support for its Award-Winning Online English Training Service

Brisbane, CA, July 11, 2005 — GlobalEnglish Corporation, the leading online English learning and support service provider for business communication, today announced the availability of Turkish language support for its award-winning Corporate Learning ServiceTM. The addition of Turkish brings the complete list of native languages supported to 13.

"Turkey is an exciting new market for global businesses, one that has been demonstrating strong financial performance recently," said Ron Hoge, GlobalEnglish President and CEO. "The vast majority of the population, however, does not speak English. This means that Turkish employees will require English language training in order to ensure that global companies can take advantage of opportunities to establish operations in the region. GlobalEnglish is excited to support this dynamic market by introducing Turkish language support for our Corporate Learning Service."

To ensure the most effective English language training experience, instructions for all activities as well as the user interface in the GlobalEnglish Corporate Learning Service are provided in 13 native languages. Users begin their study by taking a placement test to determine their skill level. They then create a personalized study plan based on their goals and begin a general or business English curriculum. The GlobalEnglish® courses are highly interactive, challenging users to learn reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in the context of realistic business situations.

The quality of the user experience has been documented by the University of Leipzig, which ranked GlobalEnglish as the best online learning service provider of Business English training in the world. "We looked for use of learning goals, presentation of content, interactivity with the technology, and innovative opportunities for online interaction with the instructor," said Mirko Pollmer, the study's project manager, University of Leipzig. "The GlobalEnglish service's content was extremely relevant for persons in business situations, the user support was excellent, and the didactic framework was the best in the group."

In addition to Turkish, the GlobalEnglish Corporate Learning Service also supports traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, German, French, Russian, and English. GlobalEnglish is currently training employees of global corporations located in more than 130 countries and maintains a global support team on the ground in 13 countries.
