E -Learning Meets the Needs of Schools and Students

As corporations increasingly expect their employees to have English language skills, schools around the world are realizing they must prepare students for global business with comprehensive language training. Online instruction, or e- Learning, is an effective, flexible and economical solution for teaching English, allowing students to practice at their own pace outside the traditional classroom setting.

According to a recent study by Credit Suisse First Boston, there are several benefits of online learning, including students’ ability to set their own schedules and review material as much as needed, whenever they choose to do so. In addition, the multimedia presentation of content through audio, video, recordand- playback, and other technologies addresses a variety of learning styles. These features emphasize communication and make the GlobalEnglish service a solid complement to classroom teaching.”

Recognizing the advantages of e-Learning, HEC selected GlobalEnglish.com as a strong complementary teaching tool for its broad offering of English language courses. “The wide range of courses and levels addressed by the GlobalEnglish service matches the diversity of our population,” added Ms. Gauthier. “This was a key criterion for choosing GlobalEnglish as complementary teaching material.”
