Karine Allouche Salanon Senior Vice President, Pearson English Corporate Channel

Karine Allouche Salanon

Angel investor and advisor to social ventures

I have always been very interested in the intersection of business and social good. As a graduate of EDHEC, Graduate School of Management in France, I have had the opportunity to lead global organizations with a diverse group of industry leaders with great missions, such as Symantec, Oracle, Microsoft, and most recently, Pearson. I am a member of Women’s Leadership in Technology, advisory board member to EdTech Europe, and advisor to Silicon Valley startups in mobile and social ventures. With my depth of professional experience, I help businesses leverage global teams, create high-value solutions, and fully realize their market potential.

I joined GlobalEnglish because I could personally relate to the company’s mission. I truly believe companies can accomplish their goals when they give a voice to talent. Encouraging businesses to find their paths through the global economy, helping business leaders attract, retain, and develop a global workforce--providing their teams with the skills to communicate, collaborate, and operate in Business English--is what is driving me.

I live in California’s San Francisco Bay Area with my husband and two children. I also help people through social ventures that I help fund and coach, and lean-in circles that connect me to the diverse talent in my local area. But work-life balance is important. I also love to cook, and I am in constant training for my next triathlon.

Vice President, Product

As the internet age races ahead, with the rapid expansion of marvelous enabling technologies (cloud hosting, open source libraries, APIs, etc.), I feel fortunate to be part of building a valued online solution. How great that we can deliver a useful experience over the internet to anyone on the planet, and also update it anytime!

Behind every great user experience is well-designed software and behind that, a great team. I'm thankful to have the opportunity to help shape and lead our excellent Product organization here at GlobalEnglish.

I live in San Francisco, California with my wife and three sons, and I like to bike, hike, and ski.

Valentine Del Roubaix, Director, Managed Services

Valentine de Roubaix

Vice President, Customer Success

Though my career started in the Public sector, I’ve always worked in customer service somehow, just with different kinds of customers. I joined GlobalEnglish in early 2008 as an Account Manager for Latin America; I’m now leading our Customer Success Team. It is a crazy but immensely rewarding journey, as there is nothing better than knowing we’re truly improving people’s lives. Day after day, I continue to be amazed by the people I work with. There is so much talent and passion in our company!

I’m originally from Belgium, but I’ve had the chance to study and work abroad. I now live in Mexico City with my husband and our two-year-old son. My personal challenge for 2017 is to find or build room for a massive and still growing DVD collection. I’m a self-confessed chocoholic, an avid domino player…and at the top of my bucket list is my dream to go on a safari in Africa.

Anyone that knows me would tell you that my favorite part of being at GlobalEnglish is when I'm with our customers. I have been working in the learning and talent management industry for more than two decades. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and I believe that we can only be successful if our customers exceed and attain their own goals and objectives. Being considered a trusted advisor to so many of our customers is what we strive to achieve every day.

I have spent the last 8 years working as part of our global sales team, being based and working in London, New York and San Francisco. During this time I have worked with hundreds of our customers, across every continent to deliver communication program excellence to hundreds of thousands of learners around the world.

British born, a graduate of Manchester University, and now living in California. I am an avid swimmer and enjoy being outdoors. I speak some French but I'm always looking to improve.
