Important information from GlobalEnglish
Dear GlobalEnglish User,
GlobalEnglish is temporarily discontinuing its open-Web sales of the GlobalEnglish Personal Learning Service™. This will allow us to transition to new Web 2.0 services for our individual consumer audience. We are very excited about the changes and improvements we will be making to the GlobalEnglish service, but we also apologize for any temporary inconvenience this might cause you.
On February 14, 2008, we moved our existing users' accounts to new servers. Your access to your account has not been disrupted. Unfortunately, however, we were unable to maintain any previously saved data. This means that you no longer have a record of the activities you have completed.
If your account was originally set up to allow for automatic payment and renewal, it has now been reset and you will no longer be billed or renewed automatically.
Now that the transition is complete, you have access to many new premium features, also free of charge. These features include an enhanced Pronunciation Center, Business Skills Courses, and practice with accents and dialects from around the world.
Finally, because we have moved your account to new servers, you will need to reinstall the GlobalEnglish toolbar. Please follow these instructions:
  1. Uninstall your current GlobalEnglish toolbar. On the toolbar itself, choose Uninstall from the small green Change Settings button.
  2. Log in to the new site and install your new toolbar:
    1. On the main navigation bar, click RESOURCES.
    2. Click GlobalEnglish Productivity Toolbar.
    3. Click Install Now and follow the instructions.
Again, please accept our sincere apologies for this inconvenience. We greatly appreciate your understanding as we make this exciting transition to transform the GlobalEnglish site into a site of the future.
